Laura Vandervoort

The actress made her debut actor in 1997 at the age 13 years old. In 1997, Vandervoort had her debut as an actress when she was 13 years old. Following a variety of courses in background work and acting for Canadian shows like Road to Avonlea or Harriet the Spy she was offered a acting role as a speaker in the Canadian kids horror anthology Goosebumps. The show was followed by commercials as well as the guest-starring role on Mutant X, Prom Queen: The Marc Hall Story, Goosebumps, Twice in a Lifetime, Doc, Sue Thomas: F.B.Eye, Troubled Waters, The Dresden Files, along with a handful of Disney Channel original movies (Mom's Afraid of a Date with a Vampire and Alley Cats Strike), at the age of 19, studying at York University [12] where she was studying Psychology and English. Vandervoort was offered the lead role of Sadie Harrison in the CTV teen drama series Instant Star and had a run of four seasons. Then, in 2006 Vandervoort made her acting debut in a feature film titled The Lookout alongside Jeff Daniels, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Matthew Goode and Isla Fisher. Vandervoort's TV career started with CSI: Crime Scene Investigation. In the following season, she was cast in the part of Clark Kent's Kryptonian cousin "Kara Kent", (the woman who would become Supergirl), in The CW serial-drama program Smallville. The season 7 episode was the first time she became a regular on the series. In season 7, she was in "Bloodline", episode from the eighth season. 3. In the tenth season and final episode Smallville, she returned to reprise her role in two episodes. Vandervoort produced the sequel to Into the Blue, titled Into the Blue 2 - The Reef. The Jazzman is her third independently produced film. The film also featured with Canadians Michael Ironside, who appeared in both The second V miniseries as well as the main 1984 V series.
