The mix of reggaeton with pop music not only brought attention back to the genre, but as well to Latin music as a whole. Billboard's Top 100 in 2015 had two songs mostly of Spanish and 2016 saw four. In 2017, during the height of popularity for Despacito 19, 19 songs mostly in Spanish were included in the Billboard Top 100. In 2020, there will be 41 songs within this genre. Justin Bieber re-mixed Despacito with a Spanish version in 2017 shortly after which famous artists started working with reggaeton acts. Drake teamed with Bad Bunny for the production of MIA (2018) and Madonna collaborated on Medellin with Maluma (2019). Certain reggaeton performers have criticized the shift to mainstream music in 2020. A newly formed group called Rauw Alejandro, wanted to continue the evolution and development of reggaeton. The incorporation of elements from electronic dance music, as well as various other genres was a typical practice.
